The plot of the L spin-off movie 'L change the worLd'
I don't know if the plot of the second DN movie is the same as the manga, apparently it deviates a lot, but...this has spoilers for at least the second movie, I think, if not the manga. Wow, SPOILERS, in a way that I still don't really know what happened.
His last eneny is a new 'Shinigami' made by human hands.
"Watari, please make the preparation to head back to Japan."
L heads to Japan from LA to solve the Kira case. All he has is a 97% certainty that Kira is in Japan and a premonition that he may never return to LA again.
Light Yagami, called Kira, who tried to become the God of a new crime-less world using the Death Note, and L, who tried to figure out Kira's identity and put a stop to his crimes. As the offensive and defensive war of these two fierce geniuses headed towards its denouement, a village in Thailand was destroyed.
The tiny village was burned to the ground, as if to erase up all trace of it. What happened there? At the time, a huge event connected to the destruction of the world was happened, unknownst to L.
The Kira case ended thanks to L's ultimate decision, but at the same time, L lost Watari. Watari, the founder of Wammy House where L was brought up, and his most trusted partner. With that unimagined death, was remains to L is 23 days. Trying to grasp this huge sacrifice, L wraps up the unsolved cases in Watari's file, one by one. When he finishes, he recieves a present sent by Watari. Inside the box delivered by a helicopter is a small boy. That mute boy, BOY,carries an SD card, from which L learns that BOY is the sole survivor from the village in Thailand, and that behind it all is a huge event involving the/a 'Shinigami' made by human hands.
A girl Maki comes to see Watari, bringing something entrusted to her by her father. When she realized it was the 'Shinigami' at the heart of the case, she was already being followed. L plans escape with the two kids. He has only 6 days left. Although it's against all his inclinations, L decides to solve the case while protecting the two children.
