We just saw Troy. It was pretty inaccurate, as far as the Illiad goes, but since I haven't read the Illiad is several years, I was still able to enjoy it.
So here's my rundown of the movie:

The Good:

-Achilles' beautiful sunstreaked golden blond hair. I totally fangirled his hair the whole movie.

-Paris' mega eyeliner.

-Also his wibbly facial expressions, and his complete 'Bitch, please' expression before the fight with Menelaus

-The opening scene with Achilles' 3P.

-Hector rocksors.

-They kept the Gay. Including cousincest and many other 'cests.

The Bad:

-CANON RAPE!!!!!! Esp. the ending.


EDT: While skimming an LJ, I found a Helen/Aphrodite drabble. It made me very happy. I missed the gods!

They probably left the gods and goddesses out b/c they were scared of teh religious right or something. I dunno. I refuse to go. Although the cousincest sounds mighty tempting. Oh Tony *sigh dreamily* You know what? rereading this post it makes it sound like Tony is my cousin. lol. Oh well.
