Interesting how when I look back now my last semester at school has become one beautiful afternoon outside with a fascinating library book and lunch by the lake followed by a long evening cool enough to want to be cozy inside with a made-to-order pizza from Blanchard or a piece of cake, and some tea, reading a comforting and/or enthralling fic on Juppy.

Randomness
Sep. 28th, 2006 11:06 am- I've started watching 'Colonial House' again, since I've still got the whole second disc to finish. These 'go back in time' reality shows are so addictive. Unfortunately, I think I've seen all of them except 1940 house, which makes me sad. I wonder if PBS is still doing them...
- There's a new trailer up at the NANA official site, and it just makes me want to see the movie even more than before. Of course, it's still in theatres in Japan, so it will be awhile. But they've just announced that they're making a sequel, which is exciting!
- I read the newest volume of Furuba twice on the airplane (once to myself, and once in English to Joely). Each volume is such a treat, it really never disappoints. But now we have to wait until January for the next volume.
- I saw a pic of Johnny, or should I say Cpt. Jack Sparrow, in the costume of the sequel. Yet another movie I can't wait to see!

NANA: The Japanese LoTR?
Sep. 28th, 2006 09:49 pmI just finished watching the making of 'NANA' special, and it's really like a Japanese national version of LoTR. What I mean is, it's the movie version of a popular book/manga series, made by fans for fans. The director is a fan, all the actors are fans, and an amazing about of attention was shown to getting all the tiny details exactly as they are in the original.
