Dec. 1st, 2006 08:51 amIt's been raining since last night, the first real stretch of actual rain we've had - up until now it's always cleared up into blue skies before night fell. But I've got a steaming mug of Typhoo tea, that yummy ciabatta for toast, and some good fic to ease me into the morning. And then I'm glad it's raining, because I can really take today as a hardcord study for the JPLT day, which I haven't really had since I've been running around the past two days.
One of those runnings was to an interview at Starbucks, and the girl said they'd call me about coming in for the second interview, so that's promising. I also dropped my resume at Betsy Johnson - they're full now, but there's supposed to be some turnaround in January, and they alway pick from the resumes they've got on file. How cool would it be to work there?
I've also got an ever growing list of translation/interpreting related contacts that I have to do keep calling, so I should do some of that today too, I suppose. The problem is I never like calling those, because each one feels like my last chance, so if it comes to nothing, it'a just so depressing.
But anyway, Our couch is also FINALLY coming today, so that's exciting. Hopefully my Vivi will come soon too. Last month spoiled me because it came about 3 days after it hit the stands, so now that it's taking longer, I keep worrying that somehow they delivered it to the wrong address, or that the mailman put it somewhere under all the piles of garbage that were surrounding the mailbox, or didn't put it anywhere at all because he was too disgusted by aforementioned garbage. But realistically, it's only been about a week since the issue came out, which is about how long it usually takes, so I'm sure it will come soon.
EDT: Both the couch and the Vivi came. There's randomly a ton of Saya-chan in this issue, which makes me happy, because I really like her. As for the couch, it is currently a huge pile of wood and screws. I had a brilliant plan to have it all together by the time Joely came home, but it foiled my plan by being very confusing, so I have stopped on step 3, because I don't want to mess up. (Hopefully I haven't already)
And somehow my paranoid rantings abouy Vivi became the longest part of this entry. ^^:
