First off, a very happy Birthday to Nana-san! I can't believe she's thirty. Wow.

We went to Japantown, to go karaoke, eat okonomiyaki, and get the newest volume of Nana. However, apparently the popularity of Nana knows no bounds, even in the US, because they were sold out. They're getting a new shipment in a week, which is also when the new issue of Glamorous comes out so I guess I'll be going back again. Isn't that always the way?

But I got the Nana fan book, and the most recent issues of Kera (which they hadn't had last time), Pinky (which I'd never bought before, but I really like their two top models, and was happily surprised to find interviews with Hinano Yoshikawa and Koda Kumi inside) and Egg,which I hadn't bought in about two years, but is still the tackiest, trashiest, dirtiest Kogal magazine ever. I was also overjoyed to find that the Shimotsuma Monogatari DVD has finally come out in English, so I bought it. Yay.

Yesterday we watched...two shows on Disney. >_> This new show called 'Hannah Montana' which is basically a Live action middle school Jem, and 'High school Musical', which we had seen the second half of a few months ago. It's actually really cute. Oh dear.

Oh, also, in J-pop news: Olivia will be reappearing on the music scene after a two year absence to sing the trapnest theme song as the singing voice of Layla in the Nana anime which starts next month. She says she really relates to Layla, what with the whole half-American singer bit. Nana's vocals for the Blast song will be done by Tsuchiya Anna.
