Back from DC!
Nov. 20th, 2007 03:07 pmSo! I have returned from DC! It was great to get away, and I had a lot of fun.
We went down and stayed with Cy's aunts for her birthday weekend. We went to the Spy Museum, which was very very cool, I recommend people going if they get the chance. We also went to the National Portrait Gallery, where I learned what many historical figures really looked like, like Thomas Brown, and Longfellow etc etc. Cy's aunt Hilary is a singer-songwriter and she had a gig, which we went to. It was fun, she has a great voice. On Sunday we had breakfast with Jackie, who I hadn't seen in forever, and spent most of the day just chatting with Cy's aunts. It was a lot of fun. I really liked them a lot, they're just really really sweet caring people.
DC was *freezing* but it reminded me of the East Coast, which was nice, and the Mall is very impressive. Regardless of what we may all think of the current government, the buildings are awe-inspiring.
On Saturday I went to AnimeUSA to see the MAX concert. I'll write a better report later, but suffice to say.
I was able to stand in the first row. They all recognized me. (Li-chan recognized me first.)And we got to chat a little after the show.
