Today in Review, the good and the bad
Jan. 24th, 2008 06:38 pm- woke up early and couldn't go back to sleep
+ Loving Namie's new song
- The b-side is just 'White Light' with different words.
+ got yummy pastry at bakery
+ saw two old Chinese women ballroom dancing together in the park
- Nori told me I sound like a Ito-san (aka 50 year old man) and need to learn more slang. Be that *re*learn, because I *knew* all that stuff. Also, that I am Americanized now. Which hurts, because my Japanese friends always said I was more Japanese than they were, in terms of thinking and body language, etc. I'd never consciously tried to be like that, but still.
- we now have to put our purses etc in our lockers, and were told if they didn't fit (the lockers are *tiny*) we should 'think about bring a different purse'. If work wants to buy me a new purse, I will gladly bring it.
+ still plowing through 'Kaze to Ki no Uta'. Oh Gilbert, the original uke slut. <3
- talk to way too many old people today. I'm so sick of old people and having to explain what a credit card is.
+ got to walk to the station with Riho-san. On the way we saw Nori and *Patrick* in the car. My first glimpse of Patrick!!
- Apparently Anna-san will be Stateside in October, when I'm going to Japan. Hopefully it will not be the same weeks. I will have to e-mail her.
+ Ayako finally e-mailed me back, and she's feeling better about her job, so she's not sick anymore. She said my e-mail made her smile and be glad to have me as a friend. <3
- Am kind of stressed about my birthday. Because I make too many big plans.
+ Cy will be home soon, and I will make us fish wrapped in Banana leaves. Thanks Jamie.
