Weekend Review
Nov. 19th, 2008 08:45 amThis Saturday was Cy's birthday, so her aunts came down from NY to spent the weekend. It was a lot of fun, they're really great people. Sat was Cy's birthday party with family and friends from work, and even Lyda who drove all the way down from LA! (If nothing else, I always think birthdays are a wonderful reminder of how loved you are.)It was a fun time: we went to a vegan/vegetarian restaurant, and then came home for cake - which I had made that morning while Cy and her aunts were out shopping - and everyone laughed and chatted later into the night.
On Sunday we went to Castro with Cy's aunts for Brunch, and had a great time. They are just so open and easy to talk to, I think the four of us always have a good time. I only wish they could have stayed longer.
We are having Uncle Donald (Cy's late godfather's boyfriend)over for Thanksgiving. I was talking about menus etc with him at the party, and he offered to roast the turkey, which, puns aside, I was really thankful for. I'm so glad he's coming, it should be a lot of fun. I just have to get through the stress of having to go shopping for the ingredients etc tomorrow. Normally I would have gone earlier, but plans this year got decided really late in the game (aka last week).
Lastly, apparently Tetsu from L'arc is engaged to his 22 yr old model girlfriend (he's 48). I first I was skeptical, but she doesn't appear to be pregnant, and from the examples the article I read gave, they seem to be ohsoinlove, so, Congrats to Tetsu.
