Heat Wave Day 2
May. 16th, 2009 02:22 pmThey have ice cream on the 3rd floor today, so C and M were nice enough to bring me down some! They're so sweet! It tasted so much like summer. Look how cute!
Yesterday Cy and I went to see 'Rebel without a Cause' on the big screen. I'd never seen it before, but it was great. It's amazing how well it's held up all those years. I guess 'being a teenager sucks' is a timeless theme. Haha. I didn't expect it to be so slashy though. Wow, it was slashy as hell. I loved all the old clothes. And that amazing iconic scene of the chickie race on the bluff!
And wow, James Dean really was charismatic. (And apparently at the very least bi? According to Wikipedia and a lot of his biographers, including one who was his roommate and on and off lover?)
We got little flags made from black duct tape on white tissue paper. They were adorably hand-made, so Cy and I decided that our two hosts (Lisa and Arch?) for the movie, who were both really excited about it had made them by hand.
I got a leftover Narnia poster because I raised my hand super fast when they asked if anyone wanted it. It's funny because it's huge. Prince Caspian still looks exactly like William to me. Haha. We are going to see it tonight.
