It's so nice out today! Sunny and just slightly chilly. There's something fresh and familiar about the air, something lighter, something like Spring, or almost the like the beginning of Summer, something that has be smiling and feeling brand new, like I'm just on the edge of something new, something wonderful. And yet it's a familiar feeling, something that I've felt before, something that my body recognizes. That's the feeling I get right before summer begins, and that's the feeling I have today.
I went to Ikemen!Starbucks today - although it's becoming less ikemen, really, since there are two girls working there now (one, who is still in training, would be played by Isla Fisher if life was a movie.) There's this guy named David who comes in everyday, and is a regular, always gets the same thing, all the baristas know him and his name and what he gets, and it's all very friendly and familiar. It makes me wish I had that kind of local. (I want the cute puppy barista to be friendly with me too! Hahaha) Really we all just want to feel like we're friends with everyone, that they like us and are being kind to us just because we're us.
* the subject line means 'your heart dances'. It was the slogan for Coke when I was in Japan at one point, back when globe was doing the promotion, and for some reason I still remember it.
