Yay for Amazon. I got the book at about 10 am on the 16th! I've had a really busy weekend, so I'm only on chapter 8 yet, but so far, I'm loving it!
On Saturday Joely and I went to see The Plain White T's perform. It was a really tiny club, next to the venue we usually see things at, about the size of my kitchen! Consequently, it was really loud, but everyone was insanely close to the stage. Unfortunately, there was something wrong with the singer's microphone, so you couldn't hear him very well, but other than that, they were really good!! I bought their CD after seeing them open for someone last year, and there was a period where I was listening to it nonstopm so I pretty much know all the words to all the songs, so I could sing along, which always makes it the most fun! And they were just so energetic and enthusiastic. And, as we were leaving the club, the band was standing around outside! It took me a second to realise it was them, but when I did, I grinned and blurted out, 'That was awesome!' to the lead singer. Not very eloquent, but it got my point across at least. The lead singer grinned back and said, 'Wow, thank you very much!'. XD
On Sunday I went with Joely and a bunch of people from her work to Lance Compounce. It was the first time I'd been to a real amusement park and gone on rides and all of that in a long time, so it was fun. I'm not the biggest ride person, but this time I was brave and went on that swinging pirate ship ride. I am never doing that again!! It was just horrible. Everytime the ship reached the top of one side and went down, I had this horrible, nasty feeling in the pit of my stomach, in my ears....I can't describe the sensations. I've never felt anything like and, and I hope I never do again. Eurgh. But, after that, and despite the fact that it poured about three times, it was still fun!
EDT: Uh...that would be Lake Compounce, not Lance... Popslash has taken me over, apparently... >_>
