So...as we know, Himura Kenshin, the greatest swordsman Japan has ever known dies a heroic death...
...of syphillis.
The old pet theory (well, of my friends, at least), was that on his long wanders as a Rurouni, he got lonely at night. Fortunately, there were many sheep to ease his loneliness!!!
Tauri helped me think of some more theories that don't involve livestock.
1) As we well know, Battosai!Kenshin was hot like burning. (Although not the Shishio kind of burning). He probably had the ladies all over him!!
2) After the untimely death of Tomoe, Kenshin was depressed and lonely, which lead to him getting drunk, and eases his loneliness with shady prostitutes.
