Happy things of today:
* First and formost, everyone's comforting comments to my post of Real Life angst below. Just reading them made me feel a lot better. Thanks for that!
* My book: On my second Georgette Heyer novel (Cotillion) and continuing to find her endlessly diverting. Even though the 19th century language is *so* authentic I have to guess from context a lot. (What is a 'flat' vs a 'leg'? What makes a man a Corinthian? Apparently 'liefer' means 'rather'. What is one doing when one is 'doing it too brown.') I should make a little glossary for myself. Also, I will probably find myself modifying my nouns with 'exceedingly' and 'dashed' - the latter thanks to Freddy.
* The hella cheap Vietnamese coffee at Les Croissants. Lately I want my coffee thick and syrupy. I'm thinking I should try Turkish coffee.
* The Cab. More specifically, their (as of today second most) new song 'Risky Business'. I cannot wait for this album. I've been listening to this song on repeat for days now! Singer - I still hate that nickname but what can you do when your band has three Alexes? And I suppose it is very self-explanatory - is like the love child of Justin and JC who grew up to love pop-punk music.
Their newest song, 'One of Those Nights', although I can't actually listen to it 'till I get home, because it guest stars both Patrick AND Brendon!!!!! (Singing on the same song!!! Fannish glee!)
* 'Les rois du monde' which came up on my iPod on the train. Texting Stef, as she's the one who got me into 'Romeo & Juliette' (I still need to find somewhere to get the soundtrack.) only to have her text back 'Listening to Melty Love'. <3
