I really really want to make a nice chicken curry now. Like this one. Only 45 minutes to a hearty chicken curry? Yes please!!

Waaah...Chicken curry.

For some reason, I get craving for Indian Food a lot. I don't know why.

I've been browsing Mallika's site a lot (even before I found out she's in the new Olive magazine!) and the neat thing seems to be that most dishes use the same spices so once you have them all, you're all set for whatever you want to make. Maybe I will make this chicken curry after I finish my translation project. Or this weekend. Some time. I miss cooking. :(

Lately I've also been hankering to make a nice roast chicken, Jamie-style, with lemons shoved inside it. I will always maintain that done right, there is nothing better than a good simple roast chicken. Maybe I can make it for Aba's going away party. He seems to like chicken. Or it's the only thing he can cook. This is also a great possiblity.

I also want to make Toad in the Hole, since I've been seeing recipes for it everywhere. And it would be hella (yes I did) easy to make one for me and a Veggie one for Cy.

Ditto taco rice, which I believe I actually promised Cy I would make sometime soon?

Lately we have been mainlining Dexter Season One. I feel kind of morally conflicted about loving Dexter as much as I do, but on the other hand, what an amazing feat for the show to pull off. It's so clever and well done! I mean, we've got one episode left, and I knew what was going to happen re: the big dramatic climax, but it still left me suprised and anxious. Well done, writers. Well done. The only sad part is...I don't think season 2 is out on DVD yet....
