I rewatched 'REAL FACE' on the train tosay, and I am so impressed by the brilliance of KAT-TUN's debut video. I'm used to people's debuts being not very good and sometimes even laughable (Koisuru Velfarre Danceanyone? But KAT-TUN made such a solid debut. A great song, lyrics by a famous lyricist, and a sharp video that establishes the members of the group with their different personas, and even includes things like Jin's touching his mouth/licking his lips shctick. Plus, they all look really hot. And the dancing is great.
The only sad thing about the KAT-TUN fandom is that it seems to me all the people that were most intelligently invested - who had a sense of humor about the whole thing, and really new the boys personalities to boot - and did the funniest, most evocative writing about them seem to have drifted to other fandoms.
But I love current KAT-TUN. Their first two albums actually don't do all that much for me, with a few exceptions. But I love their two most recent albums. I want some recent squee.
