Thanks to
thefulcrum I finally changed my layout, whcih I've been wanting to do for Years!!!
The pic is from an old issue of ViVi magazines, and features model/socialite, Marie.

21 year old Marie, who goes by her Japanese middle name, which is pronounced ma-ree-eh (her full name is Pascale Marie Tamaki), is the daughter of Daniel Desmarais, former Vice-President of Unico, the Japanese supplier for French Oil Company, Elf, who is french Canadian. Her mother, Mari, is Japanese and owns a salon. Despite having been born and raised in Japan, and having Japanese as her first language, Marie holds Canadian citizenship, not Japanese.
Her family has several houses: two in Tokyo, two in France (one in Paris, one in Nice), and one in Los Angeles.
She's been modeling since she was 10 years old, although she gave it up for a while, and then began again after being scouted in high school, her parents having told her to 'get a job'.
She has a photo/essay book out, called Marie-Kei (Marie Style), which I have, and is really nice, and also a blog, called My Tiny Dancers.
A few years ago, Wikipedia used to have all these funny 'episodes', mostly gleaned from various TV appearances, but that section has been taken down, presumably because someone was working on image control: it was mostly her saying things like 'If I was poor and ugly, I would be working.'being very jealous of perceived rival Jun Hasegawa, and sucking at English and cooking. The article is now much more complimentary, and I suppose if I had been a bratty, entitled rich teenager, I wouldn't want that preserved for posterity on the internet either.
I feel like I wrote a more extensive blog entry about her at some point a few years ago, so here, have a mini picspam
