...is that shows for Japanese artists often sell out REALLY quickly.

I tried to get Miyavi tickets today because it was the pre-sale, and they seem to have sold out in about four minutes. Because that's how long my search wait was, and by the time it brought back an answer, it was 'no tickets match your search'.

I REALLY hope I can get tickets during the general sale!!!

Funny to think about last time I saw him, when we were just going to support Christian who was doing a DJ set before the show and didn't even know or care much about Miyavi, we were able to just get tickets easily, way after they went on sale.

I wish that NP would reschedule that acoustic show!!!

Hi there! I was just going to let you know, that I have heard a lot of other people say the same thing about the SF tickets, in fact, they were saying that they didn't know of one single person who had secured a ticket at all. So, I wonder what is going on?
Granted, when he played in SF in 2008, the original show sold out within hours. Who knows? I just hope that you are able to get a ticket! I also agree that at some point, he should do an acoustic show here. I was so sad that I had already bought tickets to Texas when that last show was announced, and there was no way of changing my plans at that point. I'm glad MYV got rid of the HUGinc ppl. Things were planed so very badly last time, down to the point that the shows couldn't take place. Yes, of course I know that he got sick, however, I'm not completely convinced that was the deciding factor..because obviously the visa end of the stuff had not been properly taken care of. The band simply could not come here and play. But I think despite the fact that I ended up taking a trip to Dallas for no particular reason, he needed to take care of himself. I hope this tour goes better for him.
Yeah, it's funny how seeing Miyavi live kinda turns you into a fan. The same thing happened to the friend that I took out to Cali. with me in 2008 XD She is coming to Seattle with me, and we are taking our friend out there to see him. Can't wait!
And, er hello! I'm Katya, I found your journal because of your awesome Miyavi translations. I have really enjoyed reading them. It's really great that there are people out there that are willing to volunteer their time and effort to help the rest of us out who don't know much Japanese. It's really appreciated. XD
Having said that, I will also have you know that I ended up watching Antique Bakery the other day because of your post. It was really funny and cute. Thanks!

Hi! Thanks so much for all your kind words! I'm glad you've been enjoying my translations and other things! (And glad you enjoyed Antique Bakery!)

Huh, that's interesting about the SF show... Hopefully we can all get tickets during the general sale! Or maybe they'll add a second show? I know Hyde did that the first time he came to SF - his show also sold out in about 4 minutes.

Like you, I had a ticket to see Miyavi last year (for the small acoustic show he was doing here in SF) and it didn't get canceled until the day of the show! It's too bad about your plane tickets, but I'm glad you had a nice trip anyway.
